Check nappy, feed cues, temperature of room, clothing layers. Try one calm routine: feed → wind → hold → dim lights. Put baby down safely if you need a 2-minute reset (never shake). If crying is new + baby seems unwell, call clinic — better one ‘extra’ call than waiting in panic.

Change wet nappies sooner; pat dry (don’t scrub). Use only products your clinic / pharmacist already okay’d. Avoid stacking random creams from social media. Photo the rash and call clinic if it worsens overnight.

Not a diagnosis. ‘How often’ differs by age and milk type. Straining alone is not always constipation — but pain, blood, or days with no stool in a young baby needs clinical advice.

Note age, milk/food, last stool day/time, wet nappies, and blood or mucus. Do not give adult laxatives, honey (under 1 year), or random ‘detox’ drinks. Call clinic before changing formula brand/stage for ‘poop reasons’.

Not a diagnosis. Many babies spit small amounts and still gain weight. Forceful vomit, pain, or poor weight gain is a clinic question — not a promo tin.

Keep feed upright if usually recommended for your baby; burp gently; don’t over-tighten nappies after feeds. Track wet nappies and weight checks. Never switch milk stage/brand only because of a supermarket deal.
