Purpose

Priceory is a Malaysia multi-store price comparison site plus original educational guides. This page explains how we produce content, how we label prices, and how advertising / affiliate relationships work.

Who we write for

Malaysian households who shop staples (oil, rice, milk, detergent, diapers, drinks) across AEON, 99 Speedmart, Lotus’s, Jaya Grocer, Mydin, Giant, and other merchants we track — including selected online marketplace listings where quality gates pass.

Original editorial content

Our /guides articles are written for Priceory, not scraped wholesale from other publishers. They cover practical topics such as:

Multi-store jimat habits and basket planning
Carton vs single / bulk mistakes
MyKasih and Harga Terkawal educational context (not official legal advice)
Festival shopping calendars and baby budget tactics
How our product matching works

Guides are updated when shopping behaviour or site features change. Each major guide has its own cover image and unique body text.

Price data standards

Observed prices come from public catalogues, flyers, product pages, and approved feeds we process.
We use pack-aware matching (barcode, brand + pack, multipack rules, plausibility checks). Details: How matching works.
Labels such as real shelf, carton/bulk, derived, or online marketplace appear so shoppers are not misled.
We soft-disable junk (GWP stubs, test fixtures, spam titles) rather than show fake miracles.
Final shelf or checkout price can still differ — always confirm before buying.

What we will not do

Invent multi-store savings by matching wrong pack sizes on purpose
Publish “get rich quick” or medical/financial advice disguised as grocery tips
Cloak pages differently for Google than for users
Stuff keyword-only pages with no practical value
Claim official government certification for MyKasih eligibility or Harga Terkawal compliance

Advertising disclosure

Priceory may display third-party advertisements (for example Google AdSense) to help pay for hosting, scrapers, and maintenance.

Ads are separate from product price numbers.
We do not let advertisers rewrite our savings calculations.

Until an AdSense account is approved and configured, some ad inventory may not appear.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound “Shop at …” links (especially online marketplaces) may be affiliate / partner links. We may earn a commission if you buy after clicking. Supermarket comparison itself is not an affiliate ranking game: we still show multi-store prices when data quality allows.
