Nescafe Refill vs Jar Malaysia — Same Grams, Different Pack
Nescafe Classic refill pouch, jar and decaf in Malaysia are three products. Compare RM per 100g inside the same form on Priceory — never mix them.

Refill, jar, decaf — three searches
| You mostly… | Prefer | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Already own a jar you like and want Classic powder cheaper | Search Classic refill pouch only | Different sale form; often better RM/100 g inside refill |
| Need a first jar, gift, or a sealed kitchen display | Search Classic jar only | You are buying glass + powder — not a pouch |
| Want decaf | Search decaf only | Decaf is not Classic |
| Drink 3-in-1 sachets | Search sticks / 3-in-1 | Another product family |
| Saw a “Nescafe promo” with no form on the talker | Walk until form is printed | Bare “Nescafe” is how mixes happen |
Refill pouches, jars / bottles, and decaf are three products. Priceory keeps refill pouches off jar / bottle rows, and decaf off regular Classic. If a page mixes them, treat it as a data error — not a deal.
Do not treat the refill as the jar. They can share a flavour name and a gram weight and still be different sale units. A 100 g jar is not a 100 g refill.
This is a pack-identity guide. It is not caffeine or health advice. Illustrative RM only. Confirm form, grams, and till.
What the coffee shelf is actually selling
Write form first, then weight, then line:
- Classic refill pouch — softpack / refill, often 100 g, 170 g, 200 g, 500 g depending on listing. Search: nescafe classic refill
- Classic jar — glass (or hard pack) of regular Classic. Search: nescafe classic jar
- Decaf — own line. Never a Classic substitute on price or in the mug.
- Gold / blended / canned drink / 3-in-1 sticks — leave this guide. Separate searches.
A bare “nescafe” query pulls all of the above plus iced-coffee cans. Do not use it to pick a winner.
Jars cost more to ship and store. A 100 g jar that looks only “a bit more” than a 100 g refill is often worse on RM per 100 g once you stop pretending the glass is free. That still does not make the refill the jar.
Shared barcodes on some Jaya / Mydin-style feeds have mixed refill with decaf. Trust the title + form, not the barcode alone. How Priceory matches products.
Form split that Priceory will not merge
| Factor | Classic refill | Classic jar | Decaf |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sale unit | Pouch | Jar / bottle | Own SKU |
| Fair unit | RM / 100 g of refill | RM / 100 g of jar | RM / 100 g of decaf |
| Matched to | Other Classic refills | Other Classic jars | Other decaf packs |
| Kitchen use | Powder you already know how to store | Ready sealed jar | Different line |
| If a compare page mixes these | Error | Error | Error |
You may keep an old jar on the counter for scooping. That is your kitchen. It is not permission to shop refill and jar as one SKU, and it is not how Priceory links rows.
RM per 100 g on the same form
Unit = total price ÷ grams × 100
Illustrative catalogue mindset — three separate sheets:
| Form (do not cross) | Price | Net | Unit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic refill | RM 14.50 | 170 g | RM 8.53 / 100 g |
| Classic refill | RM 28.90 | 500 g | RM 5.78 / 100 g |
| Classic jar | RM 13.90 | 100 g | RM 13.90 / 100 g |
| Classic jar | RM 24.50 | 200 g | RM 12.25 / 100 g |
| Decaf jar | RM 18.00 | 100 g | Own product — stop |
Read this as: inside refill, 500 g can beat 170 g if you finish the pouch dry. Inside jar, 200 g can beat 100 g the same way. Do not crown the 500 g refill as “the cheapest Nescafe jar”. It is not a jar.
A flyer 100 g jar can still beat a sleepy 100 g jar at another store. That compare is legal. Refill vs jar as one “Lowest” is not.

Which coffee pack to restock
1. “I finish Classic powder every month and already have a jar at home”
Shop Classic refill only. Compare pouch sizes on RM/100 g. Humidity: clip or tin your old jar — that does not change the sale form.
2. “I have no jar and I want a sealed Classic”
Shop Classic jar. Compare jar to jar.
3. “I drink decaf”
Shop decaf. Ignore Classic stickers.
4. “The household drinks 3-in-1 at the office”
Shop sticks. RM per sachet. Do not convert them to Classic grams.
5. “Two stores both have ‘Nescafe’”
Open the same form + same grams. If form differs, you do not have a multi-store compare.
Nescafe on Priceory the honest way
- Write form: refill / jar / stick / decaf. Then grams. Then line (Classic vs Gold vs decaf).
- Search the form query — classic refill · best value or classic jar · best value — never a bare “nescafe”.
- Sort Best value first. Reject any card whose title is the other form or decaf.
- Open the product page. If another store is cheaper, confirm the same form in Compare stores. Lowest is that pack only.
- Add the winner to My plan with milk or bread if you already need them. Coffee alone rarely beats petrol for a second stop.
- On the shelf, read REFILL / jar / DECAF again. Catalogue titles truncate.
Catalogue prices are indicative. Confirm pack and till in store.

Coffee traps that mix the form
| Trap | What to do |
|---|---|
| Bare “Nescafe” search | Add refill, jar, or decaf |
| 100 g jar vs 100 g refill as one SKU | Two products; two searches |
| Decaf on a Classic barcode | Trust title + form |
| Gold vs Classic | Different lines |
| 3-in-1 “value carton” vs Classic pouch | Drinks / carton rules do not merge powder forms |
| 500 g refill you will cake in humidity | Smaller refill you will finish |
| Second store for RM1 on coffee | Skip unless My plan already goes there |
| Marketplace combo “jar + refill + mug” | Strip the gift; identify one form |
Jar vs refill questions
Is the refill the same coffee as the jar?
It may be the same line name. It is not the same sale product. Priceory will not (and should not) merge them. Do not shop as if the pouch is the jar.
Why does a 100 g jar cost more per 100 g than a 100 g refill?
You are paying for a different pack — glass, cap, shipping cube. That is expected. It is not a glitch, and it is not a reason to relabel the refill as a jar.
Can I use an old jar to store refill powder?
That is your kitchen storage. It does not make the checkout SKU a jar, and it does not let a compare page mix the rows.
What if Compare shows a decaf price under my Classic refill?
Treat it as a bad match. Check form on both titles. Report it if it persists: [email protected].
Should I buy a carton of refill pouches at 99?
Only the same Classic refill grams you already finish, after RM/100 g, with dry storage. 99 carton vs single · bulk-buy mistakes.

The coffee takeaway
Pick one form — Classic refill, Classic jar, or decaf — and compare RM per 100 g inside that form only. The refill is not the jar. Decaf is not Classic. Search the form on classic refill · best value or classic jar · best value and park the pack on My plan.
Priceory compares packs and indicative catalogue prices, not caffeine advice. Confirm form, grams, and till. If a page mixes refill, jar, or decaf, do not trust the “deal”. Corrections: [email protected] · Editorial standards.
