Affiliate disclosure: we may earn a commission when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. It does not change the price you pay, and commissions never decide the order of prices or products. How Priceory makes money.

Hewi (Hardly Ever Worn It), a UK marketplace for pre-owned designer fashion, is the only store Priceory treats as a resale marketplace, so most pre-owned bags on Priceory come from it. Everything below about Hewi comes from Hewi's own pages, linked with the date we checked them (18 October 2026). Priceory has not bought or inspected these bags.

1. Know who you are buying from

Hewi says it has three kinds of sellers (About Hewi):

  • Managed by Hewi (VIP): Hewi's team collects, authenticates, photographs, prices, stores and ships the item from its London offices.
  • Professional sellers.
  • Private sellers: they list and ship items themselves.

Hewi says independent sellers' items are listed and shipped directly by the seller (VIP vs independent sellers).

2. Understand what "authenticated" means there

According to Hewi's authentication page:

  • All items are pre-screened for authenticity before they are listed.
  • VIP items (Managed by Hewi) are also physically checked in-house.
  • For some specialist, high-value pieces (Hewi names certain Hermès bags, fine jewellery and watches), external authentication may be required.
  • If you think an item is not authentic, Hewi asks you to contact [email protected] straight away and not to use or damage the item.

Hewi also says payment goes to Hewi and is released to the seller only after you have received the order and are happy with it (How it works).

3. Check the return rules before you pay

Returns depend on the seller type. Professional sellers and Managed by Hewi items accept returns within 14 days of tracked receipt. Private sellers choose whether to accept returns, so read "Shipping and Returns" on the listing. Some sale categories are final sale.

4. A checklist for any pre-owned bag

  • Is the seller VIP, professional or private? That decides the return rules above.
  • Do the photos show the details you care about: corners, handles, hardware, lining, date code or serial label where the brand uses one?
  • What is included: dust bag, box, card, receipt?
  • Is the price in pounds (£)? Hewi lists in GBP. If you are outside the UK, add delivery and any import duties, which Priceory does not calculate.
  • Compare against new: the same model may be listed new by a boutique such as Italist. Priceory shows both in one list with a New or Pre-owned label on each offer. Italist and Hewi are part of the same company.

Listing counts and price ranges by store, in each store’s own currency (not converted, not checkout totals), from the products Priceory lists. Sold and removed items are excluded. These figures are not filtered by your delivery country, so they can differ from the product cards. “Store says New” counts only listings where the store states the condition.
