What is an Agent Work Passport?

What you’ll do

• Treat the passport as technical evidence of a completed agent run, not as a promise about future work.
• Open Work Passport on Priceory and seal the run on this device.
• Keep the passport with the artifacts it hashes. A seal without files is an empty claim.
• Hand the passport to the person who needs to verify, along with a way to open the same artifacts.
• Use Verify Work Passport when they check the seal. This guide is not legal advice.

How to

1. 1

   Know what you are sealing

   A run is a bundle of outputs: files, logs, a short description of what the agent was asked to do, and the limits it was supposed to respect. If you cannot name the artifacts, you are not ready to seal. Work Passport does not invent a run from a chat screenshot.

   Open Work Passport

   Attach the artifacts the hashes will cover

   The passport is hash-backed. Hashes without the files they describe cannot be checked later. Include the outputs you would actually hand a reviewer. Skip junk downloads that are not part of the run.

   Seal the run

   Create the passport and download it. Open the JSON (or the packet the tool gives you) in an ordinary editor to see that it is readable evidence, not a mystery blob. Keep a copy with the artifacts.

   Verify on a second pass

   Use Verify Work Passport on Priceory. Instant & Private. Confirm the hashes still match the files. If a file changed after the seal, verification should fail. That failure is the product working.

   Hand off the pair

   Give the reviewer the passport and the artifacts. A passport alone is a claim. Artifacts alone are files. Together they are technical evidence of that run.

What a Work Passport contains (technical)

Expect identifiers for the run, hashes of the attached artifacts, and enough context to know which job was sealed. The exact fields are whatever the live tool writes — this guide does not freeze a schema that may grow. The idea is stable: a reviewer can re-hash the files and see whether they still match.

What it is not

Not a chatbot. Not a cloud agent that goes and does the work. Not a certificate from a regulator. Not legal advice, not a contract, not proof that the work was wise — only that these files were the files at seal time.

If hashes can be “faked,” it is usually because the artifacts are missing and someone is waving a JSON file. Verification without files is theatre. Keep the pair together.

Tips

• Seal after the run is finished. Sealing a moving folder is how verification fails tomorrow.
• Name the passport with the run date and a short job label.
• If you switch agents mid-task, that is a different pack — do not pretend two runs are one passport.
• Free 5/24h counts a finished seal as a completion.

When the tool says no

• Empty jobs, missing artifacts, and files the tool cannot read are refused. Do not treat a refuse state as a passport.
• Work Passport will not certify that an agent was allowed to do the work. Mandate Check is the inbound-scope job.
• Do not present a passport as a licence to operate. It is technical evidence of a run.
