Make a phone photo submission-ready

What you’ll do

• Shoot or pick a photo of a single page, receipt, or form on this device.
• Open Shot Ready on Priceory and drop the image. Nothing is uploaded for the Free job.
• Let deskew, lighting, crop, and sharpen run, then look at the preview like a reviewer would.
• Download the submission-ready image and open it in an ordinary viewer.
• If the source is HEIC and the portal wants JPG, convert with HEIC to JPG as well.

How to

   Shoot for the job, not for the room

   One page, filling the frame, even light, no other papers underneath. Hold the phone parallel to the page. A beautiful room in the background is a defect. If the page is crumpled, flatten it with your hand outside the frame, then shoot again.

   Open Shot Ready

   Use the live Photo Fix / Shot Ready tool. Drop the image on this device. Instant & Private Free processing does not upload it. You should see a preview that already tries deskew, even lighting, a clean crop, and balanced sharpen.

   Read the preview like a clerk

   Can you read the smallest amount? Is a corner cut off? Is there a hot glare on a holographic patch or a laminate? If yes, shoot again rather than sharpening a ruined source. Shot Ready is a finish, not a miracle.

   Keep the crop honest

   A submission-ready crop includes the full page edge. Cutting off a signature line or a date to look tidier is how a portal rejects you. If the live tool lets you adjust crop, prefer slightly more page rather than slightly more table.

   Download and open

   Open the download at 100%. Check corners and the line you care about. Name the file for the portal (“invoice-date”, “id-front”) so you do not send the unedited camera original from the same album.

   Format for the destination

   If the portal wants JPG and you still have HEIC, use HEIC to JPG. If it wants a PDF packet of several pages, JPG to PDF then Merge PDF. Shot Ready’s job ends at a clean picture.

What “submission-ready” means here

Straight enough that lines are horizontal. Bright enough that type is readable. Cropped enough that the page is the subject. Sharp enough that a small total is not mush. It does not mean a fake high-resolution reprint of a blurry original, and it does not mean beautifying a face.

When to refuse your own source

If you cannot read the page with your own eyes in the original photo, Shot Ready will not invent letters. Retake. If two pages are in one frame, retake. If a thumb covers a number, retake. The professional habit is a second photo, not a stronger slider.

Tips

• Turn off a heavy beauty filter on the camera before you shoot a document.
• For receipts that curl, pin the corners with objects outside the crop, then shoot.
• If a portal maxes file size, compress the image after Shot Ready, not before — finish first, then shrink.
• Free 5/24h counts a finished Shot Ready download as a completion.

When the tool says no

• Files that are not images, damaged photos, and jobs over the live size gate are refused.
• Shot Ready will not pretend a blurry photo is a sharp original. If the preview is still unreadable, the source failed.
• This is not a passport-photo studio. Use the live passport-photo tool when the job is an ID portrait with a plain background.
